OrthoDent was founded on the desire to deliver superior dental care to rural and suburban communities that have limited access to high quality care. In 2012, Drs. Raymond and Manshadi recognized that several communities faced this challenge, with many families often driving one or two hours to see a dentist. Either they didn’t have one in their community or the only ones they had access to were overbooked, out-of-date, or in worst cases, lacked the attention to patient care and customer service that every family deserves. With this in mind, they set out with the mission to provide these communities with a dental home where they are treated as family.
Dr. Roden-Johnson, an esteemed orthodontist in the Austin, Texas community, provided additional leadership as orthodontics was added to the mix while Dr. Aly, the architect behind OrthoDent’s administrative and management backbone, provided the organization what it required to maintain consistency and quality assurance. The hallmark of an OrthoDent managed dental office is that although it may be a part of a growing network of centrally managed providers, it is still deeply ingrained in the local community, giving it a unique sense of identity rather than a corporate atmosphere that is out of touch with its patient’s needs. Together, the founders are excited to see the positive impact on these communities and are continuously working to perfect the processes that make these changes possible.
